WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Staging - This year there will be no assigned float numbers. Our float will be located in Section 4 and everyone should plan to arrive by 4pm. As soon as we have a map of staging, we will send it out to everyone and post it on our FB page. 
  • Guests - Guest names for Knight Parade should be emailed to Kim at kim@kreweoftheconchrepublic.org. We will once again begin a list and the board will review the list and your guests will be emailed if they are excepted to join us. Please understand that if you submit a name for a guest to be at the knight parade, we must have their email address as well. If we don’t receive their email, their submission is incomplete. GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO WALK THE PARADE ROUTE UNLESS THE BOARD SAYS OTHERWISE.
  • Bartender - Please remember that our bartenders work for tips only. So be generous. 
  • Costumes - Please remember that our costumes are outrageously colorful, bright, feathery, and definitely flamingo. Guests are required to wear what we wear. NO JEANS, NO PIRATE COSTUMES OR ADORNMENTS OF ANY KIND,AND  NO KHAKIS .     For this parade feel free to adorn your costumes with LED lights or flashy light up hats and accessories since the parade is a nighttime event. 
  • Bead Drop/Wristbands - We will have a bead drop/wristband pick up on Friday, February 11th, at Stepps Towing at 6PM. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND, email Kim at kim@kreweoftheconchrepublic.org to make arrangments to pick your wristband up. 
  • KOTCR Knight Parade After Party - We are working on an after party in Ybor for the entire krewe and possibly other krewes. As soon as all details are confirmed, we will send out a separate email with ticket pricing and location. 

**Krewe Membership**

Our krewe is almost at full capacity. We have already received several applications with money for both current season and for the upcoming season. These applications will be reviewed by the board and once reviewed we will make a determination as to whether we will except the new members.

Please understand that simply because you are a member sponsoring a new member, that doesn’t automatically mean that that person will be excepted into the krewe. Please do not make promises of membership to your friends or family.


We are so happy to have each of you in the Krewe of the Conch Republic. Our krewe is only as good as each of our members and we definitely have the best members in Tampa Bay!!
