What you need to know

BEAD DROP - FRIDAY, JUNE 24TH ANYTIME AFTER 5PM AT THE STEPPS FLOAT BARN - 5116 Shadowlawn Avenue Tampa, FL 33610 -

 Gate Code 4122

Staging - BE AT THE FLOAT NO LATER THAN 3:30PM.Our float number is 575 and we are located at the end of our section and based on the map, we will be parked in front of the North Shore Aquatic Complex.  This parade does not roll like we are accustomed to in Tampa, so don't think that because we are at the end of our section, that we are last in the parade. The parade will begin moving between 4-4:30PM.

St. Pete PD - Please be aware that the St Pete Police Department will be boarding our float with dogs to perform a security sweep and to uncover an unlawful items. (bombs, drugs etc...) This is a standard procedure with the St. Pete Pride Parade.

Parking Parking downtown during Pride events will be extremely limited.  Parking garages will be open.  St Pete Pride encourages you to carpool, rideshare, bike, and use public transit.  PSTA will have a fare free weekend June 25-26 and will be running park n rides to the Parade on June 25th.  Please visit www.psta.net and stpetepride.org for updated route information.

During the Parade - Pride is not allowing any bead, toy or trinket throwing from the floats. All items must be given out from street level. (This may change when the parade starts rolling but I am giving you the "official" parade rules) To accommodate for Pier traffic there will be breaks programmed into the Parade every 45 minutes. Breaks will last for 5-7 minutes. We are going to refer to these times as Dance Party time.

Alcohol - Just like any other parade that we are a part of, this is a "dry parade". This means absolutely no alcohol in sight during staging or on the parade route. All drink containers must not be clear and we ENCOURAGE everyone to bring a Tervis-like cup to drink from. We will remove you from the parade if we deem that you are too intoxicated to participate or if you are displaying conduct unbecoming of the Krewe of the Conch Republic. We are not having a bartender so, bar services will be self-serve. With that being said, please do not abuse the bar inventory. Do not remove bottles from the bar area. If you are bringing beer on board, do not bring glass bottles. We will provide all ice. You are also welcome to BYOB.

Weather - This parade is RAIN OR SHINE. It gets VERY hot in staging and along the parade route. Dress accordingly and invest in a personal fan. (another option) HYDRATE WITH PLENTY OF WATER.

Costumes - Everyone participating with our krewe should be dressed in the style of either the Pride theme or in our krewe theme. The more outlandish, the better.(This does not include our security monitors)

Food - We will provide sandwiches in staging.

Lockers & Bead Boxes - The lockers & bead boxes located on the float are for Krewe Members, all guests are asked to place their beads on the second floor along the perimeter of the float.

Reserved Areas - On our float you will see signs that have the names of our founding members. These areas are reserved for those members only. If one of the founding members are not attending this parade I will let you know in staging and then you can utilize that spot.
